Get the Facts About
House Bill 1121 and Senate Bill 2108
It is the mission of the Clerk & Comptroller's office to serve with integrity, professionalism, and
compassion as we safeguard our customers' interests.
HB1121 and SB2108 have been filed in Florida and would change the judicial system in the state. While Clerks of Court are Constitutional Officers, the Courts want to change all court-related duties of the Clerks to the responsibility of the Courts. This situation would provide no third party oversight of the judicial system. As Pasco County's elected County Auditor, I believe it is my job to advise the public about this issue and the potential for future corruption. Please contact your legislators as soon as possible about these bills. The legislative session began March 3 and lasts until the end of April. Time is of the essence.
